Who are We?

Dairy and Drying Technology can provide education in Dairy Technology and Milk Powder manufacture tailored to suit a wide range of staff from new employees through to experienced operators.

Dairy and Drying Technology also provides certificated courses through NZ Qualifications Authority. These Unit Standards are for Dairy Technology, Evaporation, Spray Drying and Health and Safety, (Fires and Explosions)

Operator Training

Operator Training is a critical aspect of any manufacturing operation and Dairy and Drying Technology can assist by delivering customised training packages for operators from newly appointed staff through to experienced operators.

Process operators are usually not engineers or scientists so the use of engineering and scientific formulae is minimised with examples from everyday activities used wherever possible to avoid complicating the explanations. This approach has been proven to be effective to explain the sometimes complex process explanations involved in evaporation and spray drying in a manner process and plant operators can understand.

Training courses can be adapted to client requirements of time and level of knowledge.

Training can also be provided to NZ Qualifications Authority requirements, specific unit standards are;

• Introductory Milk Powder and Dairy Technology
• Operator Evaporator Course.
• Operator Spray Drier Course.
• Health and Safety. This course covers safe drier operations to minimise risk of fires and dust explosions.

Dairy and Drying Technology can also provide specific technology programmes that relates to client equipment or processes that deliver relevant specific technology training to staff.

Technology Planning

Dairy and Drying Technology is able to assist companies by facilitating formal Technology Planning processes. A sound Technology Plan is a critical support for a companys’ strategic plan and ensures relevant technologies are identified and developed to support future activities and competitive advantage.
